Auntie Dawn came to visit in January the second year in a row to run the P.F. Chang’s Half Marathon. She came in late Friday night and left again Monday afternoon, so it was a short visit, but we enjoyed it none the less. In fact, we hope it becomes a tradition=).
On Saturday, we did a little shopping, went to the P.F. Chang’s Marathon Expo to register, relaxed in the sun, and of course, went out for Italian at night (Babbo Italian Eatery, my favorite) to carbo load. Tommy and I took on the responsibility of eating like we were running the marathon as well…it only seemed fitting.

Sunday we woke up bright and early to get to the starting line in Tempe. Tommy’s skilled driving got us a half block away from where Dawn had to be, so kudos to him. He was quite impressed with himself.
At the start:
Waiting to cheer her on near the finish line:
There she goes (white T-shirt in the middle-left with the black “socks” on her legs)!
Waiting for Dawn in the meeting area and loving to run:
I failed to get a final picture, but Dawn did great and came in at a time she was happy with (much much much faster than I could ever run). We pretty much laid back the rest of the day.
Monday, we went walked to Lucy’s for breakfast, which was both delicious and fun. After that, Tessa had the pleasure of presenting Dawn with her birthday present, a kindle. I’m quite surprised it made it to auntie Dawn still intact with wrapping paper:
Thanks for visiting Auntie Dawn!
Who’s next?!!!!
