Yes. It’s February. Yes. My last post was from before Christmas. Oooooops. So here’s a belated Merry Christmas and a recap of our various celebrations.
This past fall, Tommy and I purchased a big doll house for Tessa at the Christian Grade School auction. Gary and Irene agreed to store it at their house for us until Christmas time so we could give it to Tessa for Christmas. Well, when Christmas time rolled around and we decided to have our little family celebration, Gary and Irene subtlety asked when we were going to give it to Tessa (interpretation: Can they come over and watch her open it). So of course, we had to ask Aunt Johanna and Uncle Dan to come watch open presents as well, and that resulted in all of them bring presents for Tessa too. So our little Christmas celebration became what Tessa considered “my birthday” (try to explain to a 2 year old why we are celebrating Jesus Birthday by giving her loads of presents and why she doesn’t get any birthday cake). At least next year, there will be another kid to get presents, so it won’t be a totally one-sided Christmas. Here are a few pics:
